Congratulations to Vanessa Basile, #3 School Annex Staff Member of the Month! A dedicated first-grade teacher in our district for the past 11 years and a mentor teacher for the last four, Vanessa exemplifies excellence in education and community building. She comes to school daily with a passion for helping her students learn and grow in a nurturing and supportive environment. Beyond the classroom, she fosters a sense of togetherness throughout our school by organizing monthly themed days, staff birthday celebrations, and numerous events that bring joy and connection to our building. We are grateful for her tireless efforts and her positive impact on everyone around her!

Number Three School awarded November's Staff Member of the Month! A Golden Apple is given to the winning staff member at the end of the month after votes are tallied that have been cast by their colleagues. This month our winner of the Golden Apple is Nurse Wendy! Nurse Wendy grew up in Fairview and has been here at Number Three School for the past 23 years. Our nurse has worked in Fairview Public Schools helping out in other schools as needed. She plays a vital role in our school helping to tend to students needing medical attention, training staff members over the years, and sharing her knowledge with anyone who needs her advice. Her caring, nurturing, and selfless personality helps our students, parents, and staff feel so supported and comfortable ! Congratulations Nurse Wendy!🩺👩‍⚕️

"Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that someday someone might do the same for you." ~ Princess Diana World Kindness Day is being celebrated here at Number Three School. Students and staff were challenged to show five Acts of Kindness throughout the day! Mrs. Pinzone's students created Kindness Posters after listening to the story "Kindness is my Superpower" by Alicia Ortego. Ms. Ferreri's class brainstormed ways to be kind and people that inspire them to be kind.

Today, 4th graders in Ms. Weston's class learned about Election Day. They researched the candidates running for President and discussed the electoral college. Students also participated in a mock election about which cookies are better: Chocolate chip or Oreos. Finally, they had our own class president election and students gave reasons why they would make a good class president.
