Victoria Kim from Number Three School has been named Teacher of the Year! Our selection committee carefully evaluated all nominations to choose the winner. Ms. Kim’s exceptional dedication to her students makes her a well-deserving recipient of this award. Congrats, Ms. Kim!


NJSLA testing will begin on April 30th for third and fourth grade students. During their testing window second grade students will report to school at 10:45. Fifth and Sixth grade will test beginning on May 7th. During their testing window seventh and eighth graders will report to school at 10:45. Seventh and eighth graders begin testing on May 14th and during their testing window fifth and sixth grade students will report to school at 10:45.



Diana Scherrer Named TEACHER OF THE YEAR at #3 School Annex!!! Our selection committee reviewed the forms returned by parents and staff and the choice was obvious.
Mrs. Scherrer deserved to be recognized for her years of dedication to the profession and exceptional contributions. CONGRATULATIONS!!!


This month we are proud to recognize Erik Holzapfel as Lincoln School Annex Employee of the Month! He brings incredible energy and creativity to every class, making physical activity fun and engaging for our young learners! Mr. Holzapfel is always willing to support his colleagues, bring fresh ideas, and creates a positive and inclusive environment for all. We appreciate his hard work, passion and commitment to helping our students develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime! Congratulations!


Emilio Figueroa Captures This Month's "Golden Apple" at #3 Annex!!! This is Emilio's 4th year as a custodian at #3 Annex and he has won the hearts of the entire school community. He is kind, pleasant, and gentle with the students. He has a good rapport with the staff. Emilio is always willing to lend a helping hand, do anything that is asked of him, and learn something new. He enjoys working with others and is a team player. Emilio truly makes a difference in the school community. We would not be the same without him!


Number Three School has awarded the March Staff Member of the Month! A Golden Apple is given to the winning staff member at the end of the month after votes are tallied that have been cast by their colleagues. This month our winner of the Golden Apple is Natasha Picinich, our Physical Education and SEL teacher! Mrs. Picinich has been here at Number Three School for the past 7 years. She creates memorable learning experiences for her students while teaching them the importance of health and fitness. Natasha works so hard to create Field Day activities and events every year for her students. Her positive energy and upbeat personality inspires everyone around her to be happy! Read Across America at Number Three School has come to an end. The students had so much fun this week hearing different community members read and guessing who our Mystery Readers were. Today we would like to thank Chief Bellucci, Retired Chief Frank Delvecchio, Fox aka Ms. Pauline, Chicken aka Mrs. McGrath, Unicorn aka Ms. Garcia, and Bunny aka Mrs. Kushi! A very special thank you to The Fairview Police Department for taking the time to come to visit our students all 8 days of our event!

Our 4th graders had a blast at The Meadowlands Environmental Center! They went on a scavenger hunt and learned about building a sustainable home. Take a look at the engineering created by our students!











Students from Mrs. Locurcio’s class learned what fossils are and how they are formed. Students used Play-doh to create their own fossils.






As we wrap up our first week of readers at Number Three School, we would like to thank Bergen County Clerk John Hogan, Unicorn (Mystery Reader #2), Mrs. Tarabokija, Mr. Puente and Officer Corvino!

Day 2 of Read Across America started off with a Chicken, Mystery Reader #1. Take your guess of which #3 School teacher this was... I'd like to thank Mrs. Gonzalez, Mrs. Vorisek, Mrs. Glitza from the Fairview Public Library and Mr. Buglione from the Fairview Fire Department for taking the time out of their busy schedules to read to our students.







What an amazing start to Read Across America at Number Three School!! NY Giants Linebacker Bobby Okereke stopped by to read "All are Welcome", answered a lot of questions, signed autographs, and made today so memorable for our students.
