Who Am I?

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Secondary English Education from Drexel University and am dually certified in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy staying active at the gym, exploring new destinations, reading, and spending time with my two dogs, Blue and Ginger. My ability to connect with students, combined with a deep-seated dedication to teaching and learning, enables me to set high expectations for success while providing individualized support to meet diverse learning needs.

What Do I Believe?

When I step into the classroom each day, my goal is to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and represented in each lesson. Creating an environment where students feel empowered to take risks, learn from challenges, and achieve beyond their expectations is my top priority. I believe that true academic success is reflected not only in a student’s performance but also in their evolving mindset and confidence in their abilities. My lifelong passion for education is complemented by my commitment to advocacy, ensuring that every voice is valued and heard.

In This Class, We Will Cover the Four Core Pillars of Language, Which Include:

Reading

Through exposure to a wide variety of texts and authors, students will be able to expand their literary horizons and build upon their analytical skills. Through this exposure, students will develop their critical thinking skills accompanied by an enjoyment for reading.

Writing

Consistent practice and repeated exposure to the revision process will empower students to refine their writing skills while effectively applying advanced language proficiency across diverse contexts. This foundation will not only enhance their academic performance in higher-level courses but also prepare them for success beyond the classroom.

Speaking

Since communication is fundamental to societal development, the classroom should serve as a dynamic reflection of this evolution. Students must develop the ability to articulate their ideas clearly across various settings, adapting their language and delivery to suit different audiences and contexts.

Listening

Speaking and listening are fundamental components of effective communication, each reinforcing the other. Through collaborative classroom activities, students develop both skills simultaneously, ensuring that their contributions are meaningful and support their overall success.
